General Use Equipment: CCP has ten workstations that are intended for general use. The machines are Apple Quicksilver G4s, 80 GB disk, 512MB RAM, and DVD/CD-RW. They are located in G222 and provide general access to the compute services offered by CCP but also have the following software packages installed: Acrobat, Office, and Photoshop. File and Compute Server : CCP has a server that is accessible from any of the machines in the facility as well as over the internet. This server is a Sun V890 running Solaris 9 with eight 1.2GHz Sparc Ultra IV CPUs, 64GB of RAM, over 1.6TB of disk space. Faculty are allocated 30GB and students 10GB of storage space. This server also provides shell access for users. The CCP server hosts a full line of compilers, SPSS, SAS, S-Plus, STATA, MatLab, R, as well as other applications.
