- Use
- The Center for Computational Psychology is intended for the use of graduate students and faculty of the Department of Psychology
- Undergraduate students and graduate students in other departments will be given accounts to use the facility only with the sponsorship of a faculty member.
- Accounts can be requested by going to https://iota.uchicago.edu/, the system administrator. Each account includes 10GB of storage space on the server.
- Access
The CCP Lab at G222 is always locked, but is accessible 24 hours a day using a key available from the department secretary's office. The building hours are from 7:30 - 5:00 weekdays, if you need access past building hours you should also get a building key (also available from the department secretary).
- Rules of Use
- No food or drink in any of the rooms.
- Do not install any software or hardware on any computer, this includes programs downloaded from the internet.
- Users may store their data either on media provided by them (floppy, zip, or compact disks) or in their designated space on the server. If user files are stored locally on any given machine, they will be deleted indiscriminately. User space on the server is accessible via the PCs, Macs and via SFTP.
- If students need to print they should use the resources at USITE.
- None of the computers or peripherals may be moved without permission from the systems administrator. All items in the center are secured using fiber optic cable and any tampering with these will set off the alarm and summon the police.
